7.12 - A body but no death - We are able to overcome Mamon, but as he dies he says ”… have fun with Tiamat.” Nemkaa attempts to raise his body, but his body is oddly formed, and Nemkaa receives a sending from him. We get a black helix staff, a coin pouch, and a key from his body. Vernell hides the key from the rest of the party.
7.5 - Great plan… - The fight ensues against Mamon. He was aware it was a trap, and walked into it. Bridon was dominated, and attacked Baron.
6.28 - Setting the trap - After hearing of Nemkaa’s connection to Mamon, we make plans to lure Mamon to the cemetary. Vernell talked to him, and acted as though he was selling Nemkaa out. Mamon meets Vernell at the cemetary at midnight, and is escorted to the mausoleum. Nemkaa attempts to banish Mamon, but fails.
6.7 - Mamon in Mirabar - after shopping, we head to meet with the Lords Alliance and receive the reward for delivering the navigation stone. We meet Selin, the leader of the Lords Alliance, and his advisor/friend Mamon.
5.10 - The mask slips - We decide to head to Mirabar for any shopping needs, and to collect a reward from the Lords Alliance for giving them the navigation stone. Bridon and Vernell have a quick fight against 2 manticores. In the aftermath, they talk. Vernell is uncomfortable taking the “blood money” from Larg, and assisting the Lords Alliance. Bridon is certain the only way to protect themselves, and to change the system, is to become more wealthy and powerful. Vernell seems convinced, but less sure about the rest of the party. Bridon (revealing perhaps more than he expected) says that they’re fine, because they can be manipulated to doing “the right thing”
5.3 - Payday - We followed Larg to his hideout, where he paid Vernell the 5K gold. Vernell and Bridon were glad to leave Larg. Bear-on and Nemkaa both take steps to give us a chance to find Larg again if needed, or to lock him in his underground hideout.
4.12 - “Bear”-on - We learn that Larg was Warvil the Weavil. Larg is attempting to change his identity and leave Warvil behind. We also find out that Larg killed Norab, after Norab turned down the chance to get paid to keep Larg’s secret. Baron shapeshifts in to a bear, and instantly goes to try and kill Larg.
4.5 - Barnstorming - We make a plan to find and talk to Larg who is currently in the barn. Vernell spider climbs the wall. Nemkaa sends Jiriah into the Barn, and piggyback rides one of his zombies. We fail our stealth checks, and the dwarf realizes we’re there. Bridon attempts to deceive him, and fails miserably. We bribe him, and ask where he got the letter from Shalvis. He finally relents and we learn…
3.8 - Izzet Intrigue - Bridon meets with his old advisor, who tells Bridon that he has been cast out of the Izzet League. Bridon goes to find the worksite, headquarters of the Izzet Leage and finds that they’ve left town. Meanwhile Baron is investigating Larg. In his room in the Inn, Baron finds a letter, written from Shalvis to Baron as well as bloody clothes.
3.1
2.22 - Roc’ing the ship - We are attacked by a storm giant riding a Roc. As the Roc approaches the ship, the giant attacks us with lightning. The giant boards the ship, looks around, and harumphs. Baron polymorphs him into a rat. Bridon and Boris try to throw the rat off the ship but fail. The rat/giant runs back onto the Roc, who attempts to fly away. Nemkaa banishes the Roc, causing the rat/giant to fall (to his death)?
2.15 - Leaving Great Worm Cavern - we discover that the “gong” is a piece of a giant’s shield. We are able to use Tensors Floating Disk to move the shield back to the airship. We depart, and on the first day of travel are attacked by a group of Griffons.
2.8 - Awww, baby Remorhaz - We examine a “gong” hung in the Cavern. As Baron attempts to saw off a piece, the gong rings out and wakes 3 Young Remorhaz. With a casting of Arms of Hadar, Nemkaa restrains one while we fight off the others with wolves and zombies.
2.1 - Mercy repaid with violence - We arrive to the great Worm Cavern. As Bridon drops off the rope, he is immediately set upon by a clan of Uthgarts. They are the same ones that we allowed to leave The Eye of the Allfather. We kill the warriors who attack us, but allow a large group of civilians to leave.
1.25 - Skyships and Aaracockra - We decide to head to the nearest giant Barrow, the Great Worm Cavern. 3 Aaracokra fly toward the ship. They are immediately cut down and attacked by Vernell, who also accidentally shoots the balloon.
