Nyvere — Capital City of Thein
Seat of Power, Knowledge, and Military Authority
Nyvere is the political and institutional heart of the kingdom. It lies near Lake Aeloria and beneath the looming Frostspire Mountains. Power in Nyvere is tightly held by a small circle of trusted figures loyal to the crown.
King Tauor Eindride rules Thein from Nyvere.
General R’Orlando Eroc — Commander of the Armies of Thein.
Hand of the King Rosalind Cassius — The king’s closest advisor and political executor.
Nyvere is also home to the Four Schools, whose influence rivals that of noble houses and military orders alike.
Abyr
City of Trade and Grain
Navy, Wealth, Agriculture, and Influence
Abyr is a bustling coastal city built atop the remains of an ancient ice sheet that melted long ago. This history has left the surrounding soil extraordinarily rich—fertile enough to feed nearly the entire kingdom of Thein. As a result, Abyr has become the agricultural heart of the realm and a major trading hub.
The city is ruled by Lord Hakon Whisperwood, supported by his Hand, Ulf Brightshield.
Food traders, caravans, and merchants dominate the streets, and control of Abyr’s supply lines is a matter of kingdom-wide importance.
Tyr — The Soldier’s City
Honor, Legacy, and Subjugation
Tyr has long been known for producing fierce warriors, but its recent history is marked by rebellion and punishment. Until roughly 20 years ago, Tyr was governed by Lord Fren Brison. Fren led a rebellion against Nyvere that lasted nearly a year before he was killed in his own castle. The uprising collapsed shortly thereafter under the force of the king’s armies.
In the rebellion’s aftermath, all who served Fren—and their families—were either executed or marked. Since then, Tyr has been governed by Lord Bog Cotter, assisted by his Hand, Hip Scop.
